Ingredients per liter:
- ½ liter of orange juice.
- ½ liter of cava.
- 1 tablespoon of sugar (if we use natural oranges it is not necessary).
- 2 dashes of Cointreau.
- 1 dash of vodka (opcional).
Preparation:
All right little pupils… the true and original Agua de Valencia, which was invented in Valencia, consisted of mixing natural orange juice coming from Valencian oranges together with very fresh Cava… It is that simple!
Then, little details were beginning to be added gradually. The first and principal is Cointreau, which is liquor with bitter orange flavor. A little bit of Vodka can be also added, since it has a neutral flavor (this way we will obtain a more explosive combination). In the case of using juice bottled (that is a little bit bitter), we will add some sugar to the cocktail in order to sweeten it.
Serve very cool, or serve with ice.
